WELCOMING ALL AGES & CAP  BADGES

The Parachute Regimental Association (PRA) was formed at the end of the Second World War to further the interests of The Parachute Regiment and to organise functions and activities so members could continue associations formed during their service with the Regiment and Airborne Forces.

PRA membership covers all age groups and different cap badges with branches nationwide, including Northern Ireland.
Meetings are generally held monthly to organise social functions, visits, reunions, pilgrimages, battlefield tours and, of course, to catch up on the latest Regimental news and gossip

OUR PATRON

HIS MAJESTY KING CHARLES III

KG KT GCB OM AK QSO PC ADC

The Parachute Regimental Association is very proud to have His Majesty King Charles III as their Royal Patron, a title he has held for many years. His Majesty is also the Colonel in Chief of The Parachute Regiment, an appointment he has held since 11 June 1977

OUR OBJECTIVES

The PRA is governed by its Constitution, whose objectives are:

“What manner of men are those who wear the maroon red beret ?
Firstly they are all volunteers, and are then toughened by hard physical training.
As a result they have that infectious optimism and that offensive eagerness which comes from physical well being.
They have jumped from the air and by doing so have conquered fear.
Their duty lies in the van of battle, they are proud of this honour and have never failed in any task.
They have the highest standards in all things, whether it be skill in battle or smartness in the execution of all piece time duties.
They have shown themselves to be as tenacious and determined in defence as they are courageous in attack.
They are, in fact, Men apart – Every Man an Emperor.”

Field Marshall Mongomery of Alamein
